Thursday, September 2, 2010Talent in the city: New season for Nashua Community Concert AssociationNASHUA – Although the economy has made it difficult for many nonprofit organizations, Nashua Community Concert Association has managed to hold its own. In spite of losing its longtime corporate sponsorships, NCCA continues to maintain its strong membership of more than 1,300 people and in no small part due to the diverse range of excellent performances offered each year at just a small cost to members. It’s no surprise, however, that this organization, which was founded with 500 members in the midst of the Great Depression, continues to flourish. Regardless of the times, people truly appreciate the talented musicians, singers, dancers and entertainers that make their way to Nashua each year as part of Nashua Community Concerts. |
